Been a while since I've been up to Kingsport and had a 4 day hardwood floor install job. My brother found 95.9 The Hog out of Colonial Heights right off the bat and we never touched it. That station rocks! :flipoff2: We hardly ever heard the same song twice. Why didn't they ever have stations like that when I grew up there? I even lived in Colonial Heights for a few years. How long has that station been playing?
Made me depressed to turn on my radio when I got back into Raleigh. Raleigh stations suck harder than any other city I've ever been in. I'm getting so far behind on my music it's terrible. Heard a few new songs from The HOG. If it's not top 20, you don't hear it in Raleigh. Country OR Rock.:shaking:
 
Radio up here is pretty good 99.3, 101.5, 102.7 they all rock
 
it's funny you post this because I used to work around Johnson City a lot and I would always tune in 95.9. You can pick it up on I-40 once you get the near the 81 split. I wish WNC had a station like it.
 
I live in Kingsport and 95.9 is just about the only thing I listen to. Their motto is less talk and more rock, just the way it should be. They play a good mix of new music with a few older songs thrown in too.

I hope you enjoyed your time in Kingsport. It ain't much but it's home. At least we have good radio though.
 
Got response to email that they are going internet by next week...

I've surfed everything on internet with no comparisons...
