A buddy and I are looking to start a business and we need two work trucks. We are not dead set on a particular brand but we do want them to be close to matching. White/silver/grey preferred, 4 or 6 cylinders (8 may be bad on gas mileage), long bed if possible. We have someone looking at the local dealer auctions but haven't found anything.

Does anyone have a go to place when looking for similar matching work trucks? We would like to buy two trucks from one place in hopes of getting a better discount.

Any leads?

Thanks

Williams Electric out of shelby may have coming up forsale soon old formans trucks

4 to 6 cylinder sounds like the s10/ranger/Tacoma size trucks. My FIL looked for a used white truck like that for a long time. Finally had to buy a new one.

Big difference in a Colorado and a K3500. (Or your preferred brand)

New? Used? Clunkers?

1/2 ton? Dually?

Regular cab? Crew cab?

Preferably used, no major repairs needed

Mid size to full size. No dually needed

Reg or extra cab, no need for a crew cab

Yea that's the problem I'm running into, not a lot of choice of used white mid size trucks. Don't really wanna buy new but may have to.......

Have also thought about a cargo van. Most used ones have high miles (250+ thousand)

Depends on what kinda work you are doing.
But Duke auctions off their service trucks every yea rand the service beds are nice for some careers.
They are all V8s, last time I went my buddy who owns an hvac company bought 4 ~$5500 each

Thanks for all the replies and links.

We are planning to start a pest control company. We can use a truck or a cargo van. Need room in bed for a 25-50 gallon sprayer, work camper shell with shelves, other related equipment, and the ability to pull a termite trailer with a 100 gallon tank plus reel/pump/etc.

A s10/ranger/Tacoma would be ideal for gas mileage but I'm worried that the 4 cylinders in these wouldn't haul the weight and pull the trailer at the same time. That's the reason for a v6, especially since we will be working in surry county, Wilkes, allegheny, and southwest VA.

I have a3/4 ton van with 250k. Good red work van that I'd trust for years of low cost service. Pm me if you are interested.
