I usually check the board from my phone. It's a Pixel 2 XL if you want to know and do not buy it. Just some friendly advice. Anyway, recently when I check the board I get redirects away from the page. New pages pop up that holler, "Congratulations!" And "You're a winner!". That's all well and good but it sucks when you're in your morning meeting...

And everyone gives me shit for being on here at least I’m not on it during a meeting at my new job....

Could be a bad ad. They'll usually get filtered out by Google, but if you can tell me what ads are on the page when it happens, I can block them.
 
It happened to me last night, and just now, 3 times in the last 5 minutes. Takes over the whole screen quickly, so I have no idea what ads were there to begin with.
 
It always happens to me when researching something. I google an issue I’m having like “AW4 no overdrive” and wind up on other Jeep forums and get the congratulations thing right about time I’m about to discover the resolve to the issue. Then it kicks me off and has to reload.

It has never happened to me on this forum. I’m always on here thru my browser, I only use tapatalk to upload multiple pics.

Son, don't make me show you how it's done. There's an art to it. You look at your phone, furrow your brow, nod a couple of times, swipe, swipe, swipe, write down a piece of trivial information such a number, then scroll for a minute or two catching up on the news.
 
it happens. seen plenty of times on other sites. it will be a bad add that does something like 1000 redirects super fast, so you cant simply go back. Youll just ahve to reload and hope for a new ad.

has never happened on the computer, just phones/tablets (iOS or Android). anywho, ive found nc4x4 via tapatalk eliminates the issue and also helps with other browsing/caching issues
 
You should really quit watching porn at work, that's what causes those pop ups (so I've heard).
 
Same issue here, but never on NC4x4. Always seems to be on Ford truck forums when I'm following google results. Its dem Russians!
 
had this happen some recently....have to close it all out and start over. it was a wtf moment for sure....and it repeated. I thought it was a sign I'm on here to much.

If you walk around with a handful of papers in your hand and moving with a purpose you can achieve the same thing. I do it all the time and nobody stops to question you. They think you’re on a mission.
 
Ive never had it happen on a forum. But I do have it happen occasionally on some random click bait on Facebook. It’s annoying.

One of the best tips I ever got. Safety guy told me very early in my career about the piece of paper. It's amazing to see. Even if it's blank it has the same effect.

I work for the gubment...so it needs to be a clipboard. In fact, when walking with one you can see people actively avoiding you!


I guess I'm the only one that has virus protection/pop-up blocker on my phone...
