XJ 4.0 High Idle

The other day my XJ started idling up near 2000, then it would settle down after a little while. Now its staying up near 2000 more often. What I've read the TPS is the first place to start, would this be correct?
 
I had the same problem on my 04 WJ, I first checked for obvious vaccum leaks, couldnt find any so i replaced the TPS and so far I havent had any more problems.
 
Honestly, it sounds like an IAC (idle air controller) issue to me. Before you spend money on a new TPS, clean the IAC with some carb cleaner first.
 
The IAC is the thing right beside the TPS correct? Tonight I took the TPS off, hooked it up and while it was running i manually moved the switch. That made it idle down and run good after that. Will see how it does tomorrow.
 
Still running good (except now have a vacuum leak) after manually moving the switch around. Not sure if it was just stuck a little or a sign of it going bad.
