I am going to be replacing the complete AC system (less the evap core) in my 1997 XJ. I don't typically work on AC system, I wanted to check with a pro and see if there are any tips and tricks I should be aware of.
Compressor is cooked, so I will be replacing the compressor, orifice, condenser, dryer. The system is empty, my plan is to swap it out and bring it to a shop for vac and recharge.
Anything I should be aware of? Do you lube the O-rings? Any torque specs for hoses I should be aware of or is good-n-tite plenty?
Thanks!
