Probably not a big deal. Those things seems chinsy anyways but if it comes off of the ball expect a bent clutch fork.

When dude took the old clutch out I didn't see one and he swears there wasn't one but I know it should have one. Everything back together without the pivot ball spring. I told him we needed to get one but he said it didn't have one we don't need it. Is it worth tearing back apart for the little spring?
Crown Automotive 4338855 Clutch Fork Spring for 94-11 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ & JK, 94-01 Cherokee XJ, 93-96 Grand Cherokee & 02-11 Liberty KJ & KK

I always replace them when I do the clutch. They're like $2 at the dealership, and the fork gets fucked up if it comes off the pivot.

Might be fine without it. You won't know until you know.
