Brake question,

Will my 88 XJ Dana 35 brake backing plates work on my new 1996 8.25 rear?

Thanks

I believe the bolt holes are spaced different. WHy would you want to do that? You can put GC disc on it though.

The brakes and hardware on the Dana 35 are only 6 months old and i'm spending enough money to re-gear the truck next month. Just trying to save where i can.

The spacing of the bolt holes are different. The brake shoes might fit it they are the std duty 9x2 shoes.

Much better option is to just swap in the Grand Cherokee (ZJ) disk brakes
