XJ Build

Gettin R done! man you all did not waist any time:beer: That will be a cool deal when you are done.

It's official, she has the building fever. I came home and found XJ parts on the couch, and table. She has been cleaning, removing, researching and so on. She is trying to make it look as good as possible, given it's condition.
Plans as of now
Swap in a Dana 300 and 231 crawl box.
Fix floors
Exo cage
Swap in a 10 bolt and 12 bolt, which we have already, geared 4.56:1
propane it. Looking at putting an Impco 125 on it. Anyone here with experience with propane on a 2.5?
Lockers front and rear. Most likely a lock rite front, and not sure of rear.
35" General Grabbers MT
As of now Gonna make a set of weld on Bead Locks with a set of Factory Truck Rally wheels, Unless someone here needs them and wants to trade for a set of 8" spokers.
Haven't measured yet, but since we are gonna go pane, might try and recess the tanks some in the rear.
I have two tanks on my CJ, and usually only use a tank a day, unless we are out for a really long time, or I do a lot of running at high RPM's for repairs(Air Compressor)
Do you think two tanks are needed? or should one suffice?

** note
She was offered OT at her job and took it. More Jeep parts! LOL

The build sounds great. I am no pane guy, but from what I have seen on trails of others, the 2.5l should run two or three trips on a tank. I would think one would be plenty.

Shhh....

Leslie...word to the wise...dont let Chip read this...but if i were you...ABSOLUTELY let him help build yer rig...but WHATEVER you do, don't let him drive it...I heard he likes to tear up :poop:....

Good Luck with the build...Sounds like you got a good plan and the motivation behind it....!!!

its coming along...can't wait to see how the crawl box turns out. Let me know if there is anything else you need.
