What is the tar like material on the wheel humps and the center of the floor and whats the best way to get it off? I'm not talking about the seam sealer either.

more than likely its to keep sound/heat down. i used to do paint/body and its a b to get up. it have a rough texture to it?
if so thinner will take a while. depending on what your plans are by removing it, a stripping wheel works wonders.

It's not rough at all, the seam sealer has more texture than this stuff. It's hard as hell until its hot, then its softens up a little.

What kind of wheel are you talking about because I think any kind of wheel or sander would gum in this stuff, was using a heat gun and a putty knife for the wheel humps. That worked ok but there's a 2' square in the middle floor that's almost a 1/4" thick. It's bull:poop:. Going to try soaking tomorrow.

I found a soft pack wheel worked well with the windshield sealer. Perhaps it'd also work well on this? Otherwise get a wire for your angle grinder and go to town.

Never thought about a wire wheel. Guess I'll go get one of those. Soaking is not working so well.

Wire wheel usually does the job. The windshield sealant was too gummy for it though. That's when I tried the soft pack wheel. (I think it was 80 grit?) That worked really well. Hell try both.
