Check out Chris' xj up at metalwerx. Scott isnt afraid to test his cages and they have saved a few lives already. Spend the coin to protect you and your loved ones while wheeling.Have someone like Scott at Metalwerx to make a hybrid cage. Internal cages in an XJ make a small cab even smaller
I'd stay away from D&C. The guy Snoopy on pirate has been called out time and time again for legitimate wrong doings to customers. I had a T&J performance in my blue xj years ago and liked it for the most part. I'll agree with others, custom is the way to go.
True. Miller rocked his T&J cage for years. My blue one had one and I purchased based on what I saw Millers cage go through. When I backhalved the blue xj it did give me a good blank canvas to build off of.T&J is a decent cage for a start. All of the cage kits are IMHO a way for guys to get started. Most of the people I know that have used the kits bought them and then added to them to their liking. I would also recommend you consider a hybrid cage. A pillars are outside the front windshield protecting it and the b and c post come through the roof and tie into the "halo" that protects the roof edges. It also give big guys more room in a tight cab. Which has already been mentioned.

Why do you buy a product knowing it has to be fixed before it can be used?I think thats the only way to consider them. They're certainly not complete from a design standpoint, not without proper triangulation.
