XJ D30 CV axle shafts?

I am working on the "puddle Jumper" which is basically going to be a chopped up 2 door XJ on 33's to have some fun with. It currently has a D30 with CV joints at each wheel instead of U joints. Any pros or cons with these? Are they equal or weaker in strenght? Thanks
