The fan on my buddies XJ stays on long after the car has been shut off. Anyone know the fix to this problem. Thanks.

Thermostats are used to keep electric fans going until temp. reaches a certain level. Could be the thermostat, or it could be some clogged coolant lines not allowing natural circulation, thus it is not cooling like it should, or it could be he is low on coolant, thus not cooling like it should.

i had a bad relay that kept my fan on and it killed the batt. easy fix.

Changed the relay at lunch for 11 bucks at the parts store. That fixed it. Thanks.
