i just put a lift on my jeep and new 33x12.5 tires along with it. i guess with the taller tire it made the fact that the alignment of the camber on the front right tire is way off it some one could tell me how to fix i would happier than a pig in mudd:bounce2:

alignment....

Also it could be a bad unit bearing. the reality is, the vehicle needs to be closely inspected before you can expect a correct answer from anyone. We are here in Raleigh if you need some one to diagnose this for you.

Unit bearing or ball joint. Most likley ball joint. There is no camber adjustment on any D30 front or D44 for that matter. Only caster and toe. On 98 and newer models there is only toe adjustment.

On my last 30 that I gave away I had a strange issue. I ran 15x8" rims with some 10" wide tires and the camber was fine. I went to 15x10 and 12" wide tires and the camber pointed in at the top. I had all ned ball joints hub assemblies and tie rod ends. I traded for some 15x8's and 12" wide tire and it was back to normal. I don't under stand it. The guy I traded the tires to had the same problem. Just an FYI type thing. As was stated no Camber adjust ment and the only way to really adjust Castor is Adjustable Upper and Lower Control arms.

Did you change rims and tires? Also did it have an adjustable trac bar and Adjustable Control arms? Has the alignment been done?

family xj - I know exactly what you are talking about with the camber looking like it's off with the wider wheels and tires. I run 33/14 boggers on 15x10 rims and mine look like they have a little bit of negative camber. All my ball joints are good as well as my unit bearings. Just one of those things.

The factory caster adjustment is on the 1998 and down ZJ's. The front lower control arm axle bolts are offset with a offset washer taht allows the caster to be adjusted. I don't know if any XJ's ot TJ's had this though. None of the XJ's I've seen have had it.

You actually can adjust camber with offset bj adjusters, but it shouldn't be needed. I agree that he needs to have his front end checked.

I didn't know that. Just learned something new.

camber can be adjusted on d44 w/ a degree shim between the spindle & knuckle, drivetrain shops use them all the time. iirc they also make them for d60
