OK so heres the story. During my senior year of high school(4 years ago) my father and I purchased a 1995 Jeep Cherokee from a friend for 1k. It has a 6.5 inch lift, 33's all the usual mods.... The reason it was so cheap was bc my buddy whom my father and I know very well, didnt take care of it, the inside and outside was almost to the point of rusted because of all the dirt and god knows what else and just letting it sit. WE have slowly over the years(since ive been away at school not been able to work on it) working on it. Completely doing the interior cleaning etc....
Fixed a few minor suspension prblems in the rear etc....
WE are now finding difficulty finding what we really need for the front steering. MY jeep has a 6.5 Rustys lift. The drop pitman arm on the jeep when we bought it was so lose and worn out where it connects to the tie rod end, the angle was too sharp and very hard, just listening to it. Now after much advice from some salespeople at Tar Heel, told my father that it didnt matter that much on the amunt of drop on the arm. We have 2 drop pitmans, one that is not dropped enough and the orignal that has a enlarged hole where it connects and is too lose. Neeed as much help on this as possible as am trying to run it very soon. We dont know if we need to buy a new arm and if so, what size and how do they measure it, bc on rustys site it says for xjs with 6.5 inch you need a 1.25" but is that the drop? it cant be....thanks - Pm's encouraged and would help out the most. Thanks
