xj fuel cell

I'm redoing my setup on my xj and was wondering the best way to mount the fuel cell it has the outlets at the bottom of the cell what way should they be facing I had them facing toward the front and seemed to do alright unless I tryed to do a donut then it would act like it wasn't getting enough fuel I don't want to be in the middle of a hill and it starve for fuel and cut off

Physics say to place the sump rearward. That way when you accelerate fuel is forced to the sump. Also when climbing you'll have fuel available.
There are pickups that won't suck in air that allow you to install multiple pickup locations in the cell. But that is for a different type of cell.
