Looked under the jeep today (just bought this one) and it appears this is leaking. Anyone have a idea of what this is? On the oil pan under the starter? It appears it's a sensor of some sort. I honestly don't know, it's a 2000 XJ

Oil level sensor? Oil pan heater? I think heaters are a little bigger than that tho!?
 
Pretty sure its oil level sensor, Any codes being thrown?
 
I know some 2001xj had ols on em and a few Zj have em if I'm not mistaken
 
Personally if no performance issues i would pull it pipe dope it and put it back and roll on!! Lol unless it's gonna be family or DD vehicle...
 
That's a possibility or engine swap someone didn't know about.
