I bought an '89 Cherokee Pioneer with a 4.0 yesterday and I went out to start it today and it started up fine and idled just fine and I pulled it around the house and shut it off so I could wash it. About 30-45 minutes later I went to start it and it was idling super high, so high that when I put it in drive it started spinning the tires. I put it in park and shut it off. Then when I cranked it again a few seconds later it only idled high for about 2-4 seconds then it idled back down and started idling normally. Could the IAC be the problem? Should I just take it off and clean it with brake cleaner? Anybody know what size torx bit it takes? Thanks for the help!
