Nice. Ive owned 2 XJs and thought about doing hood vents on both, but I never liked the thought of having the engine basically open to the elements. Looks like this one should at least stop some of that. Where did you get the scoop? And have you noticed a difference in engine temp since it was installed?
 
picked it up @ Autozone(where i work) and tried using a sheet metal bore bit(hole saw) to cut thru the hood and make it clean and easy, but of corurse that would have been too easy. so ended up drilling holes all the way around and joining them. got done about 9:30 last night and havnt driven it yet. let it run in the drive and could feel the heat coming out. and i mounted it towards the master cylinder and its sealed so shouldnt be any water/rain issues.
 
maybe. that and a toyota emblem.....:fuck-you:
