So long story short my jeep keys pulled a disappearing act that would make houdni proud. So I bought myself a replacement lock cylinder to replace the missing keys (way cheaper than a locksmith). My ? is how do I replace the lock cylinder without the key to position the cylinder to remove it.

Gotta pull the wheel. Then the wheel lock ring. After that u will have a 8mm? Screw to remove then the cylinder will pull out.

Thanks

this was helpful to me...

I combined 2 Jeep GM-era steering columns into one, and IIRC both were different than this link in the method used to retain the key cylinder. I ended up cutting a groove in my key cylinder to make it work. There was a screw (probably the 8mm GotWood mentions...mine was torx) that went thru that groove.
