Howdy,

Hoping some of you could help me Identify and remedy the leaks I'm having on the XJ. I know the oil filter adapter is leaking. I'm waiting on that bear for another day. I'd appreciate any and all advice. Plus if someone was willing to spare some shop space and help; that's be pretty awesome!

What year is your XJ. The first picture is a pinion oil seal. Which requires taking the driveshaft off and taking the exposed nut which is pretty large. Next I would just buy a new oil pan drain bolt since that one doesn't seem to seal the hole that well and the head of it is pretty tweaked. For the tcase I would just keep an eye on the level and how fast it drips. Fixing a leak on the tcase would require a lot of disassembly. The oil filter adapter o ring kit can be bought from the dealer for <$5. Takes about an hour to do. And when the engine isn't lava hot just reach around the the back of the valve cover and feel for oil. I'm sure you will feel some. 99% of the time oil leaks from there and it makes me loco.
