Just got me a 95 4 door XJ. Im looking to get 8", would it be cheeper to buy a complete kit, or just gather parts from friends and on here? Also is there any other rear springs that would allow for more lift or flex?

I would look for a kit. Shipping can add up quickly. Plan your build first. Look at what size tires you want, then do you need to upgrade axles, are you willing to trim. 6" and trimming will get you 35's under it. You are limited to companies for an 8" lift. I know Rusty's, Rock krawler, and Sky Jacker all have 8" kits. If you go 6 you have a lot more choices, like BDS, Rubicon Express and some others. Don't forget you will need an SYE and longer DS for 8" lift. Steering also becomes an issue.

just put a rusty's 8" long arm kit on a buddy's xj......the whole kit with shipping was 2800 bucks......with a sye and cv shaft........the kit came with almost everything you need and is a bolt on kit......it has a good ride to it and is a well built kit.....

You could easily go with Clayton's stuff. Just add a spacer to his 6.5" kit and you would be in good shape. Let me know if we can help with anything. We carry RE and Clayton's stuff that would definitely fit your application.
