I like to flip a vehicle every once in a while, and the current 98 XJ has kicked my ass. I purchased this with the assumption it only suffered a blown head gasket but after further inspection discovered the motor is junk. The previous owner fed me a story that I believed and I bought it.

So now I'm trying to salvage this thing and at least break even. Finding a donor Jeep for cheap or even a good motor has proven harder than u thought. One option I'm looking into is pulling the motor from my DD 96 model to drop into the 98 to be able to sell then rebuilding the junk motor for my DD.

If it helps, I was looking and found a 2000 xj 4.0 for sale in Greenville. I was going to buy for a project I'm helping my dad with, but he may be to cheap to buy it. Let me know and I'll get you a link

Ended up with this gem for $270. It's a gamble to though as I've only heard it run on video. Keeping my fingers crossed!
