xj power windows problem

I know there's a rite up on it I just can't find it my windows only roll up and down from drivers door I've heard there a wire that was to be re done or somethin like that its a 91 xj if anyone could help that would be great pics would also help a lot not the best with wiring thanks

Not sure about the older XJ's, but my 98 had bad switches on both doors. switched them out with junkyard replacements & had no problems since.

my windows only roll up and down from drivers door

check the window lockout switch for continuity.. if a wire is broken it will probably be in the lockout wires in the drivers door rubber tube in the jamb. stranded wires do break after 10,000-20,000 bends. you may be able to diagnose it by manipulating the wiring.

Do you know wat color wires to look for or have a pic of them

should be a yellow wire. that is assuming your window lockout switch is good.
