ive got a problem with my xj...it just started today i have no idea what it is my jeep drives fine them if i hit a bump it beats me all to hell untill i stop them ill start back driving ad everything is perfect until i hit another bump pothole or rr tracks anyone had this happen to them? or have any idea what it is?

its worse than the death wobble but it only happens when i hit a bump it shakes really really really bad and wont stop until i pull over then when i start back driving its fine no wobble at all untill i hit another bump

that is what i consider a death wobble. what psi are your tires? if you run them too high it happens. my brother ran a wj with 4.5 inches and 31s at 45 psi for better gas mileage and shook like hell evertime he hit a bump and would have to stop to correct it. or you might just need a bigger stablizer for the front end.. how much lift are you running

i dont know that is what i run mine at and i have a 4.5 with 32s. something might be loose on front axle... check all your bolts

Any and all front end connections could be the problem. Everything from control arm bushings to track bar bushings to ball joints to unit bearings, etc. Inspect everything for wear/damage and make sure everyting is TIGHT!

After throwing tons of parts at my XJ, I finally found the bushings in the LCAs must ahve been worn, even thought they felt fine. I replaced my LCA's with a set of adjustables dialed in to the same length as the old ones, and DW were gone.

Wish I did that before getting new steering stabilizer, unit bearings, turning rotors, brakes, dropped pitman arm, track bar, empty wallet...

Its still death wobble, I have always tried to find a way around fixing things until I absolutely have to, death wobble, going into a bumpy section, get off the gas, get back on it afterward, usually works, always been able to power through the wobble myself though.
