Got a 96 cherokee tranny keep shifting in and out of overdrive. Is this an electrical issue? Any tips to remedy are appreciated

Check the TPS and have larger then stock tires been mounted? If so has it been regeared?

Does it do this in town or out on the highway? If this is the case, run in town in drive, not OD.

What's TPS? Its stock tires and does it on highway

The Throttle Position Sensor, when they start going bad the trans acts funny. Does the speedo drop while driving if it does then you could have a speed sensor problem.
