xj trim fading

I know all people that have owned a cherokee before, have problems with the trim fading. Ive tried everything from Mothers Back to Black, tire black, and motor oil. They all do a decent job but then starts to fade again. Is there any Krylon paint out there or any other alternatives?

Many years back, I read on here someone refreshing their TJ flares with a propane torch, a few inches away.

i painted mine with krylon fusion black a while back and it looked good for a little while. Its starting to flake off now but at this point it just adds character and matches the dents and scratches.

I painted the flares on my TJ with Krylon Fusion Semi-flat Black ,the trick to making it stick is the prep work.I scuffed mine up pretty good and them wiped them down with some prep solvent and mine look great.
