on the drivers side, attatched to the front pumpkin. Is that UCA bushing supposed to be impossible to push in? I had a time getting the old one out, and now the new one wont go in for shiat.

Get macey to do it for ya, wimp

When I did mine, the new ones went back in alot easier than the old ones came out. I had the axle out from under my XJ when I did it though, so it was easier than working under the rig.

Think I took a large impact socket that was close to the same size as the metal around the bushing and drove the bushing in by hitting the socket with a hammer.

Dylan I just did this very same thing. I took my hi-lift jack and jacked up the drivers side to where I could remove the coil spring. After removing the coil spring I had plenty of room to work. I just gently tapped around it with a hammer until I got it started then I took a piece of 2x4 and smacked the everliving shit out of it with a 3 lb maul. Worked like a charm and only warped the lip a little bit.

MUCH easier than taking out the axle!

OK.update

I left the bushing in the freezer all day. Its amazing how things change when ya freeze em'. Popped it right in!

Dude, why didn't I think of using a ball joint press on this thing!? Oh wait, that's because I was doing this in my yard and all my good tools are over at mbost's house... ;p

And that freezer trick was brilliant man!

I tried something like that too, but with the spring and tire in the way I could never square off with it. I was too lazy to take out the impact to remove the tire. Figured the coil spring was less work! hahah

Yep, I jacked the jeep up, removed tire, put the jack stand under the body and let the front drivers side of the axle drop down. The coil springs widened enough that I was able to put pc. of steel thru it and tap the frozen bushing in the last 1/2 inch.
