I took out the transmision and replaced the front seal and after getting it all back together it will not start. The engine turns but the plugs are not getting any fire. The battery was unhooked for 11 days. Ichanged the rotter butten and destributer cap They looked bad , but still no fire. Anyone have any help.

is the CPS hooked back up and correctly (I think that goes on the tranny) All of the sparkplug wires hooked up tight

I haven't been able to check the sensor yet. Its already dark when I get off of work. I'll have to wait until thursday:handed:

Dylan and I changed out the CPS on the XJ today and got it running again.:driver: But Dylan thinks I got on the gas a little to hard too soon, because the transmission started leaking again or it never was fixed. Now I have to get it fixed again.:poop:

Yea, I dont know, but ....does a newly replaced trans. seal need a little time to ''fit in'' or seat, or what ever?

I really dont know, but Mike pulled out of the driveway and STOMPED IT....on dirt road. It started leaking again.
I told him that I would'nt have ''kicked it like that so early, but...like I said...I dont know.

Nope a seal should seal as soon as it's put in. They don't have to "seat" or anything like that. Looks like you're pulling the tranny again. Check to see if there is a groove on the torque converter where the old seal was. If so, you may have to move the seal out just a hair so it's not in the groove. You'll probably need a new seal as they are pretty hard to move without wrecking the seal if this is the case.

I'll be sure to look for it when I take it back out. Will more than likely just swap out tranys then check it out.
