Firstly, thank you for your concern with my problem.

Situation, I currently have a XJ 44 rear end and am looking to set it up with the stock TJ suspension.

I have two issues that I'm trying to find the solution for.

Being that the tubes are thicker than a normal TJ 44, will TJ brackets have any problem being welded on?

Also I'm looking for some missing pieces, I have found lower control arm mounts and shock mounts through artec but I can't seem to find upper control arm mounts, sway bar mounts or a track bar mount that aren't for a 4 link or other heavy modifications.

Would anybody just suggest using the mounts from my D35?

Or does anyone know of suppliers that have the parts I'm looking for?

Thank you again,
Greg

I would recommend giving ECGS a call. They have done a number of TJ swaps with different axles. They can do it or just sell you the parts for you to do it.

That being said, I did a 8.8 swap into a TJ by cutting off all the old brackets from the d35. It wasnt too bad with a plasma and was cheaper, but the factory brackets a super thin and not so great. If you beat on it very much, its likely you will be plating/rebuilding the mounts later.

I don't think it's the tube thickness that's your problem. It would be the diameter. Thicker tubing allows for easier welding.
