Yamaha Hot-start

Anybody have tips on how to re-start the bike using the hot-start?
Do you give it gas or not. Do you hold the hotstart the whole time you are kicking?

Spend enough time kickin the 450 thumper in the hot and you will be self taught. Dont give the bike any throttle, and hold the lever.

Stalled it out on a crossin at URE after wrecking Sunday, and finally just had to sit down and catch my breath for about 15 minutes. Ridin when angry just doesnt work.
That was also after I slid headfirst into the mudhole...

seconds on giving no throttle. When I stall it out hot, Simply push the hotstart and give it a kick. After she fires a couple quick blips on the gas will bring a smile to your face.

be sure and find TDC on the piston so you get a good start. Also check out www.thumpertalk.com for more tips. Kicking a XR600r makes you good at finding TDC....
