yj 2.5 to 4.o HELP!

So after I did an SOA on my 94 YJ 2.5/ax5, the next rational thought seemed to be " I'll drop a 6 in it" So I now have a pile of parts and need some help deciphering what will work and what I need to do to make it work.
PARTS: '95 4.0/aw4/np231/ecm from a cherokee, '94 4.0 engine harness from an xj with auto, '94 YJ interior harness from a 4.0 equipped YJ. My main issue is when I look at the mating points of the harnesses, some things won't even plug together let alone have matching colors/gauge of wire. I've read enough posts here and pirate to thoroughly confuse Einstein! This guy did his this way, this guy that way. I'm naturally on a budget that's tighter than a crabs ass at high tide so I kinda have to deal with what I've got on hand. Anyone who has done this swap before(or something close) please chime in. If the price is right I could go to an ax15 but the advantages of an auto kinda outweigh the cons of the ax15... I'm all ears................Oh and if anyone wants to help out at swap time I can provide :beer:

this does not help with your question but do you still have the 2.5 engine from your jeep? and if so do you want to sell it?: bounce2: need some parts for mine
 
from what i've heard, the colors match on the thru-firewall connector. need to splice the old 2.5 thru firewall connector to the new bay harness. wiring diagrams will help. i'd say i would drop by and hook it up but im like 6 hours away.
 
Yes I'm still running the 2.5 and will happilt sell it when I've done the swap. I guess what I'm asking is if someone has done this exact swap, everyone seems to have swapped yj stuff into yj stuff so wiring harnesses pretty much stay the same. That is my biggest concern, when I look at the harnesses a lot of stuff doesn't match up. Does anyone have an fsm I could borrow for either yj or xj?
