Im getting ready to put a set of short pro comp add a leafs on my stock 91 YJ with 32x11.5x15 tires does anyone have any suggestions or comments or advice to give me on this issue. I know alot of you guys are good at this sort of thing. Do I need new shocks as well? and will shackles help as well this yj will do very minor wheeling btw. Also one more thing I dont have any sway bar linkages should I not even put one on and get a steering stabilizer?

If you are driving it as is and are only going to put add a leafs on it you really shouldn't need to do anything to it. You shouldn't need new shocks and the shackles you have will be OK but it wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade then to something stronger at some point. I'm not a big fan of steering stabilizers though some folks seem to think they do some good. Sway bars would probably be a good idea for street use though. That would probably the one thing I would look at. Just my .02.

I have a 4" lift with no swaybar or trac bars front or rear. The new springs are stiff enough not to even need them. IDK if the old springs are too soft to do this though, that may be the problem.

You should be good without new shocks or shackles.

I wouldnt worry about the sway bar either. I didnt run one on the front of my YJ on the street. Just dont expect it to handle like a sports car, which you know already. I did notice a difference without the trac bar, so I left it on. YMMV
