Just checking here to see if anyone has come across this issue.
With the swap from 258 to 4.0, I either forgot how the linkage from the column down to the transmission goes and I have something misaligned, or the geometry is slightly different because of the block casting.
There is a slightly different webbing in the casting, and now if seems the linkage is shifted toward the driver side and binding with bracket that’s mounted to the tub.
There’s a capture plastic pivot on the tub side mount. I actually removed it from the bracket and mounted it to the opposite side to assist with clearance. It was off that much. And there is still clearance issues with the linkage.
