yj aw4 swap tips needed

been collecting parts for this swap. my tranny has lost rev. so its time now.im wanting to keep this kind of factory looking swap. had thought about the extra shifter. but think im just going to use 1 from a xj.
anyone that has done this swap i would appreciate any tips or tricks you would share.
the vehicle ia a 91 yj 4.0 auto.
parts i have collected is an aw4,and torgue conv. plus a trans comp.
im not sure if the flex plate will work or not.
 
you will need a flexplate from a 4.0 aw4 model. i can look and see if i have one hiding out. you will also need a shifter. the wiring isn't too complex, the transmission harness wires mostly directly to the trans computer, except for the throttle position sensor. since it is a 91, you shouldnt run into any trouble with regard to the TPS and trans comp. the XJ shifter will work. if you wanted to get OEM looking, I suppose you could modify part of a cherokee console to fit. I can hook you up with wiring help and so forth if you like. BTW a 4.0 AW4 flexplate will work, 91 and up because those years are the HO version, not renix(90 and prior).

i will defintely take you up on the help. i was looking for your # to check with you on a flex plate.
my yj now has a column shifter. any way we could adjust it to work?
