I just picked up a parts YJ to use as a donor for my CJ8. I bought it for the 4.0 and ax-15 which I will be swapping into the scrambler. I will also be swapping over the wiring harness, computer, brake booster and half doors. Are there any other items from the YJ that might be an upgrade for the stock cj parts? Can the power steering box from a YJ be made to work on a CJ? I just want to make sure I get anything I may want off of the YJ before I part the rest out.

Though this isn't an answer to your question, let me know when you get ready to part out the YJ.. What year is the YJ,BTW?

I wouldn't use the AX15, I'd upgrade transmissions while you are at it. What transfercase are you using?

Windshield frame fits
I'm sure other items fit, not sure what is bad on your CJ8. The hood fits, grill, fenders, etc.

Whats wrong with the Ax-15? It is stronger than the stock T5 that I have now. I will be running the 4.0 with the stock dana 300. This is not going to be a hardcore rig but just weekend toy running 33's. My cj body is in good shape I just want to make sure I don't sell off a mechanical part from the yj that I will later wish I had for the scrambler.

besides the engine, not including bell housing, and tub (YJ and CJ-7 only), I don't think there's a lot of cross between the 2. I'm pretty sure the YJ fenders/hood are longer than a CJ, so even a front clip swap involves fab work.
