Ive finished up my SOA conversion for the most part... and there is a TON of body roll and I will need a sway bar, hands down. I can use my stock upper bar or w/e its called and stock arms. But I want some ideas and pictures of what yall have used. I was thinking about using something like the stock spring plates (just welding on a bolt) but I dont think that will be strong enough.

Ideas? Pictures?

According to The Jeep Bible, page 114, it's against doctrine to run sway bars on any SOA Jeep! If you insist on being a heretic, I would think the bolt welded on plate would be sufficently strong if you use proper bolt size and welds are good. Sorry, no pics, no sway bar :)

Hey man..don't you know it's cool to have a gangster lean!

Seriously though, I don't have a sway bar and it leans if I'm hauling ass around the corners or a 60mph nice curve in the road. I guess I'm just used to it. Heck it's a jeep not a sportscar. How wide is your jeep? Maybe that's another issue if you are too narrow. You might be getting that tippy feeling.

Well my front springs are way! to soft to not to run a sway bar. There is massive body sway just getting into the jeep. She drops about 3" when I get in and then rocks back and forth for a while. I'll have to see how much it is reduced when I put on shocks

If it leans that much on curves then imagine how much it will lean on off-camber hills, scary.

I do not run a sway bar either. Come to think of it, I can't say I have eer seen one on a SOA Jeep...

yeah, my mj was exactly as you describe right after i lifted it, without shocks,

i even used hand me downs from projektj that are probably half worn out and they made all the difference in the world, so before you get to crazy fabbing a sway bar up, i would give the shocks a try, then it is up to you whether you think it helped enough or not

You don't need one. I dont' have one and i'm running 2 in lift springs on mine. Throw some shocks on there and go wild. Just slow down for curves.

never had one on my soa yj....

my shit flexes better than your rubiCON biatch.
