Got a call from a friend. Trying to trouble shoot an electrical issue without seeing the vehicle.

Basically the brake lights work. The blinkers work. However they will not work t the same time. So at a light with your foot on the brake the blinkers will not blink

It is a 79 Yota 4x4 truck.

Does the truck have a trailer wire harness? Sometimes those control boxes will act up. They combine the brake and turn signal.

Got me stumped. Turn and brake/tail are separate circuits. How do the running lights operate?

I'd start checking grounds. Including the ones in the actual sockets. Typical bad ground symptoms.

That was my initial guess. New bulbs and clean sockets with something.

I will post up what he finds and try to get a photo or two.

Thanks everyone.

Recently swapped in led's? Like said above, those should be completely seperate circuits on a yota.
