thinking about adding lunchbox lockers to my 99 toyota what are some oppinions on sparten lockers or do u have any other suggestions besides welding spider gears?

Go with a spartan, there cheaper than lockrights and actually better. Also the easiest to install from what I heard.

I've had good luck out of Aussie lockers and Lockrights in past Toyota builds. Wouldn't hesistate to run them again. Never messed with the Spartan so I can't say yay or nay. I'd run whatever you can get the best deal on.

I've got a Lock right and like it.

I have a spartan in my dana 60 and like it had lockrights in my other toyota and never had a problem except broke all four pins when i snapped a shaft.. Id got spartan cheaper and smiple to install

Kinda speaks for itself

i have a 96 tacoma, aussie in the front, lockrite out back

lockrite seems to make the rear end have a lot of play. Play is defined as driveshaft play or with rear wheels off the ground and in gear can turn the wheels a little bit. It isn't the worst thing in the world it performs great, but it is super annoying and is really jumpy. I have read that the lockrites are notorious for this in the tacomas, not sure if it is the same in other applications. Would love to find that out.

Over all the locker part works flawlessly, just terrible street manners

I have a spartan in the front of my 84 and it preforms great, couldnt ask for a better locker or a better built one for the price.
