I am looking to convert my 81 2wd to 4wd .
I know I will need a matched set of axles ,a set of front leaf springs and a t case .
I just need to know what springs and if a d44 and gm 12bolt will work . I would like to run a 35 or 37 tire running the 22r engine and poss a divorced case.
any help would be appericated

i'd think that the easiest route would be to find (if you can!) a whole parts truck, maybe something that's been rear ended or a front clip, and just take off of that.

Well I will be going to LKQ junk yard near my house and getting all the parts .

good luck i went there last weekend and they had nothing to find in the toyota truck dept.

I have a 80 truck, 20r runs strong for a 20r, top shift, with another 4wd frame in really good shape. Frame was sandblasted about 9 months ago, painted with zero rust damage. May be a option for you. 600 obo
