z71 build

I have a 95 z71 with no engine and transmission. it has 3 inch lift with some 33's. nothing great but a decent looking truck. what i would like to do is put a very strong carb'd 350 and 350 trans in it. (already have that built and ready to install). i know.....alot of you r asking why go back on the technology (no fuel inj and no overdrive) but my goal is to make a weekend toy that i can beat up on little ricers on the street, drive to work a couple times a week, jump railroad tracks(lol) and do some light 4 wheeling on the weekends. ( i already have a yota crawler so not looking to build another crawler). i know that i will have to rig a kick down cable, move the trans xmember, make new mounts, redo driveshafts etc. but would love you guys opinions and ideas(not rich so there is a budget). please chime in on some things that i may not be thinking about or ideas that would make this easier or better. i look forward to your comments and ideas

Ya, been thinking about that. My brother has a 14 bolt i was thinking about getting from him anyway. sounds like its time for it

Saw a couple of articles where some people jus used the original pump in the tank. seems simple enough but not sure what to do about the fuel return....(it does have fuel return doesnt it)
