zj fuel pump

i would think they were the same. they had problems with the fuel pump assembly on the 94-97 zj's. i had to replace the pump on a 96 and the only thing you can buy is the whole pump assembly.not just the pump. quite expensive too. you could just check the part numbers on AZ or AAP or find a store that has both years in stock and look at them.
 
another quick question will a xj pump the same year work just pump not canister and all (or how ever it will work lol)
 
im sure it would if you had a second assembly to get the pump out of it. but if u have another assembly ur better off just usig that. they only sell the whole assemblies for that year
 
na i can get just the pump new for 87$ at oriellys and i was gonna go check pullapart and im looking on CL for zj/xj around that year im just i just need the pump but im not 100% sure what it is doing is when i turn the jeep on it runs 25psi. when i rev it it drops a few psi ,but what gets me is when i turn the jeep off it was(havent check recently if it still is) but it raises to 40psi after some time a min or 2. and then holds the psi/loses it how it is suppose to any idea there is 150k on the motor/FP

it'll be in the fuel line or on the rail. if you have one, they can fail. does yours have 2 fuel lines to the rail or just one? if its got 2 it has a reg. if only one, the fpreg with the pump in the tank in the module
