ZJ starting problem!!!!!

Ok got 96 with 4.0, problem is it starts but wont stay running and to get it started i have to jump it off to get a spark, I really dont wanna change everthing that it could be causing the problem wanted to see what yall thought it could be to save me some time and cash...

Any check engine codes? How old is the battery? Alternator may not be charging. Most parts stores will test battery and alternator for free.
 
New battery and alternator i was told to check out map sensor or fuel pump??? i took intake off throttle body and started for me with out hitting gas but only once!??!?!???!!
