Not my favorite Chevy either but I'd love to have an old Hotrod car w cut outs and I assume they're illegal on the street now unless stock? I remember a big old Pontiac convertable a friend had w a cutout lever on the dash. He said " watch this" and opened em up after a guy reved his motor beside us at a light one day............ the guy turned red...............It was awesome

i have a customer with an 06' charger(ex-highway patrol car) that i put a set of cutouts on and it was bad ass. i actually thought it ran better without them open, but it still sounds really good.

The Pontiac I rode in was exactly like this one, w a factory 421 and cutouts installed. It was about 1979 and It was a loud, fast beast !!

new Camaro ZL1 has vacuum-actuated cut-outs in the mufflers, as well.

I put a pair on my dad's gremlin when redoing the drivetrain, never been uncorked.... and honestly, they probably will never get opened - as I fear the noise emitted from that tired, old, original CJ 258 as it sweeps through its meager rev range.
