Stupid Money Pit buggy build

Im hoping for end of summer / early fall but we all know how that can go... Its in the easy stage now so once we get this all knocked out and get to the tough part ill know a bit better.

Had a big day on saturday and made some really good progress. We got the motor, trans, and tcase in and mounted up. Everything should clear in the seats and the Atlas shifters will HOPEFULLY work out without any cables!

Good clearance on the top of the motor. We might turn the intake around depending on radiator/air intake clearance:

Belly height is just right:

Thanks to Roark for the Atlas ring...this thing went right in and lined up perfectly with the belly tube. Took all of 5 mins to get the tail end of the drivetrain mounted up. I highly recommend this piece. It made the entire process VERY simple.

Exhaust will be a tight fit...but it always is...we will figure that out:

Then we moved on to some more tubework and threw the hood and grill on for a little vrrroom vrroom noises.

As you can see, we got the rest of the windshield spreader tubes in as well. The hood will rake downwards at the front (and may come down an inch or so at the back depending on a few things).

you can see the clearance under the dash bar....plenty of room for everything under here:

finished up the day by throwing the seats back in for a good look at things.

Progress is slow....but its not dead! Got a few other small tubes in, got some parts (fuel cell, new headers, etc)...but the past 2 months have just been terribly busy. Weddings, concerts, and summer time have gotten in the way. We should be getting some progress done in the next few weeks, and once my front ORIs get here, then we can finally make it a roller and really get cracking on it.

I did get a "meantime" wheeler to pass the time as well. Check out this ugly, beat up bitch:

Should do for a bit.

V8, 60/14 bolt, full hydro, 4 link front and rear, SYE, and some dents.

Just going to slap a cage in it real fast and beat on it until im done with the buggy. Got it for a good deal and really just wanted to get back out on the trails so I don't quit on the buggy.

Get this thing done already! Haha

Love it even more with the big ass meats.

My sig from PBB is fitting for that GC:
"Unless your rig looks like Godzilla ate it, and shit it, then it isn't hardcore"

Love that rig dude.

Autocorrect sucks ads...(ass corrected). Tires and wheels?

I can talk to the guy who actually owns the iroks about them... he is an "everything is for sale" kind of guy too. I also have a set of 37" TSL radials (bald/grooved) for a 17" wheel that I will sell for cheap too if wanted. Ill get back to you about the H2s and iroks.

thanks!

Its a total pile of shit, but its fun as hell to wheel. Its the perfect "in between" wheeler...its tough as nails though, so it may last a lot longer than we thought it would

That guy in the first pic of this thread is a total creep.
