Need some advice on selling a gun. I need to free up some cash for other things.

There is a gun show near me this weekend. That a good place to go?

Any good online places to sell?

Do I have to deal with transfer papers?

Gun is a Ruger Mini14
 
You can sell stuff at gunshows. You will see random people walking around with "for sale" signs on long-guns imagine it looking like they are carrying a flag.

armslist.com seems like a good place to advertise

you don't need a permit to buy/sell a long gun in NC, but many people prefer to at least see either a purchase permit or concealed carry permit with ID for peace of mind.

X2. Or you can find an FFL at the show and go thru them for a small fee. Last thing you want to do is sell to someone that is ineligable to own/possess a firearm and then it comes back on you.
