SFWD site says no trailers in the camping area, no exceptions. :wtf: Isn't the whole valley turned into a "camping area" for this event? Or are they simply referring to the actual normal campground area? What are the people with enclosed/toy haulers supposed to do? Wish there was more info on this. I feel like the early birds may be forced to do something while there is room and once that fills up its a free for all???

As said, This just applies to the campground.
 
Just ran into Shane McCormick of Rancho at the local auto parts store here in Mt Airy, he's on his way to VA then to Dixie Run. Very nice dude.

We've made plans in our group to unload, drop the trailers and pull them with some rigs up into the field above us that is basically good for nothing else. This way we can get as many campers and RV's in as we can!

I am loaded up and waitin on the clock!
 
At some point on Friday, I cleaned all the balancing weights off my new @Oliver's rear driveline. Paint, too. Dunno how or where.

Just about the best weekend of riding I may ever been on. :rockon:

Trails were dry. Wasn't real crowded. Weather was perfect for all day and all night riding! Great group we rode and camped with. Minimum breakage. (I think everyone drove their rigs on the trailers!) Lots and lots o' food!! Hit pretty much every trail there. (Bounty hill will have to wait for stickies and maybe more than 111" W/B!) Only pulled cable one time...Thursday night! (don't want to break on Thurday night!...:D)

GMP was a just great place to wheel this weekend!

Well said! I had a blast myself. Highlights are as follows....
Didn't break shit or roll over. (for the first time ever)
Eating 5000 calories a day.
Hanging out and riding with some damn fine people.
Teaching my grand young'n how to shift gears in my heep.
Going up Copperhead trail at 5 am Sunday morning.
Damn near rolling on an access trail. (Ben can tell that story)

One thing is for sure Sarah and Robert have no shortage of buddies at this event!
 
Had a blast. Great wheeling with awesome folks and the food was amazing. Cracked a fuel cell, cracked the transmission housing, and broke a steering knuckle. This trip was sponsored in part by JB Weld. lol.
 
I only broke a fan blade luckily. We wheeled hard and the family had the best wheeling trip ever. Both days we rode in a small group of great guys and gals so we got to cover some ground since we had little breakage. Jeff m. Had a u joint go bad that we replace on the trail which turned into a bigger job than it should have but was no biggie. Tony w . had a joint break on the pavement and we just replaced it w a new shaft.
We also had some good entertainment Saturday night. Lol
We are already planning next years trip.
 
Had a great time despite breaking the same inner axle shaft twice in less than 24hrs!

I did the same thing with outers.
Was a good trip though, uneventful tow there and back. Good friends, sons came in 1st and 3rd in the kids rc crawling comp, I got second in the adult division. Jeep drove into the trailer.
Good weekend.
