Just got it last night, I haven't even seen such a haggard wreck. I think you would be safer riding no top and no seat belts. That way maybe you will fall out before the poop pipe breaks loose and jabs though you. It came from the Shelby area.

That looks utterly horrid

 Please tell me that's muffler tubing on the front!

I bought a cage from Wild Horses for my EB back in the 80's / early 90's that's 3" and looks like this. I get asked the "muffler tubing" question embarrassingly too many times at first glance when I show pictures...

3" was the "IN" thing for about maybe 2 years max. when custom cages were first being mass produced. :shaking: 3" was very common for 70's truck bed light bars as well. And EXTREMELY HEAVY!!! I recall the scales tipping 450# for shipping from CA and it was a basic cage that only tied into the cab. Also recall it being a biatch to drop in. Still got it in there.

But that appears to be 3.0" Dia. x 0.25" wall to me.

I sold the tires so I only have $150 in it. The solid front axle is well worth that alone.

That front tubing was from some out door furnitue thing. Had the manufactures sticker still on it. I guess like a large three seater swing of sorts.

Wow, there are some not-so-clever kinda people around here. Im glad I have never seen that truck before.

Better get a tetanus shot before you go much further on the disassembly

Oh my God! Keep looking, There's gotta be some bubble gum and paperclips after seeing the above. Check the engine, there could possibly some sort of animal on a wheel used for power.

Lol the fix for this was to hammer the brake line shut right off the master cyl. Guy claims to have been driving it on the rd to. Nothing left above the frame rails now. Looks much better now.

he was driving it with the radiator hose hanging down like that?

iam guessing yes considering the rest of it. i bought it from a guy that bought it from the one who claimed to have been driving it (3-4 months ago). it wasnt running at the time and once he realized the 20r was stuck the previous owner wouldnt return any calls or texts. the motor froze and cracked the block i would say its been years since it moved under its own power. it does have a weber 32/36 carb on it so thats another little score.

I think you outta make a road trip video like those guys on Roadkill. Finnigean would be proud.

I bet Frieburger and Finnegan wouldn't even touch it. If somebody drives it, take a life insurance policy out on them beforehand
