Black lab puppy

A BIG black lab puppy wandered in my yard today. Ive rode around the neighborhood and no one recognizes him. He's probably less than a year old. Anyone want him?

I wasn't really planning on anyone coming to get him right away. Just trying to get feelers out...

By law (at least in Pitt Co) you have to post in your area that you found him and then give it 3 days before you can begin to consider keeping or giving away.

After all, a dog is personal property and you'd be stealing otherwise.

Go by a local vet and have them scan the dog for a micro chip. If he is chipped you will be able to get him/her to the rightful owner.

One of my neighbors took him in so he's out of the rain. She's taking him by the vet tomorrow if a lead about a missing dog from a few miles away doesn't pan out.

Yes. I found someone to take him in out of the rain and a few hours later his owner contacted me.
