They want hurt that's for sure. If it's dry you may not use them all day. If you plan on running the trails when there wet you will want them. The October 7 weekend it rained even on wolf den some had trouble. If you get up there and they have had 2 or 3 inches you can pretty much hang it up without em
 
Plans are to get a rear locker for sure, I've heard with one in the front I'll need hydro assist...opinions behind that?
 
If you plan on running some big meats, HA is not a bad idea.
 
I would say lockers front and rear!!! Because those speed bumps at mall can be tuff sometimes! !!!!:flipoff2:

Seriously I would take a ride out there first and see how it does and if you even enjoy it, then put a rear locker in. We will be out there thanks giving weekend, you can ride with us and see how it does and if you like it..:driver::beer:

Two buddies run open/open there just fine. One in a TJ with 2.5 inch lift and 35s, the other with a full size K5 blazer and he has done every trail just fine with 35s and 31s. It largely comes down to driving technique.
 
Speed bumps, na man I go around those. As far as malls none of those around here.

I run open diffs and I dont usually run into a problem out there. I will say this though, I probably wont ever go after a 10 inches of rain again with my all terrain tires, if it wasnt for krehel24 I would have flipped over a few weeks ago.

If you are running tons and 44" tires, I would definitely do hydro assist. If you do install a locker in the front, do twin sticks in your TC if you can so you can slip it in 2-lo. It will steer MUCH better when in 2-lo.

As far as Uwharrie and lockers goes, I drove a bone stock Samurai with open diffs and P215 street tires up Daniel several years ago.
 
Sounds like callalantee, windrock would be more your speed. As far as ure, watched a green 70's-ish VW bug on AT's do daniel three or four years ago.
