Wife and I are wanting to go to the mountains for our Anniversary this year and looking to rent a small log cabin. Wanting something that is secluded and either wanting to stay just one night or 2 nights if its not too expensive. Must have outdoor hot tub and a good view. Looking to spend around $200 or so for the two nights. Looking for something not too far from us in High Point. (not wanting to make a 3-4 hour drive one way)

Must be close, have very desireable features, allow two night or 1 night rentals and be half market price.

Lol
Good luck

FYI we have a condo at the beach. The PM charges me $65 to clean and prep it for a guest whether they stay Q night or 10 and the booking agent charges a flat 15%....those are the industry standards. $100 nights don't exist in stand alone places...well not places you'd want to stay. Add in an outdoor hot tub for that price and staph infections come free....

The wife and I stayed at one of these cabins several years ago. It was great.

Nantahala Village | Offering Rental Cabins with Awesome Views, Lodge rooms with Hot Tubs and breath taking sunsets, on site restaurants with decadent deserts. In the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina

We are thinking about renting this place one year:
Nantahala River Cabin - Smoky Mountains NC - Bryson City

Otherwise, just search for a cabin on VRBO in the area you want to stay. Bryson City is a cool area. You could take a 'dinner train' ride on the GSMR.

I think Boone is as far as he is making it in 2 hours.
And he wants to spend $200 for 2 nights.
That means he needs the room to be under $75/night by the time you add in taxes.

Check out the KOA's. They should have cabins in your price range ( or less! ) and may even have a hot tub on site.

My wife found a great one in dobson on home-away last year...its was 150 a night i think...then another near west jefferson for 200 a night on the same website...way better than a hotel and you get a lot for your money

Call 828-263-0507, they can refer you to one of two privately owned rental cabins which are secluded.

Like @Ron I will be very impressed if you fins something meeting all of these requirements and price. Up your budget by $100 and increase 1 hour drive and your options increase exponentially.

I don't mind spending a bit more and driving a bit more... just had to have something to start with. Will continue to look. Just want something where I can get nekkid and be outside! :)
